5 ways to share your referral code

Referring can sometimes feel awkward, so we want to help you make it as easy as possible! Here are five ways for you to share the Hummingbirds message through referrals.

Text

By far, the easiest way to share your referral code is by sending a text. You can do this directly in the Hummingbirds platform, or you can copy your referral link and paste it into a text message. It doesn’t hurt to add a couple pictures of you enjoying a hummingbirds experience or at a meetup!

Email

Everyone has that one friend who responds to emails faster than texts. Or maybe you have a colleague or acquaintance who you think would make a great hummingbird! You can easily copy your referral link and paste it into an email. Don’t forget to tell them why you love being a bird and why you think they would love it, too!

Instagram DM

Do you follow someone who embodies what it means to be a Hummingbird, but isn’t one yet? Now is the time! Introduce yourself via DM and tell why you think they would love being a bird. If they’re interested, follow up with your referral link. You might even make a new friend in the process!

Send them a video

Text messages are the standard way of communication these days, but they can be so impersonal. Send them a video message instead! You can do this using Instagram DMs, Snapchat, or even by recording a short video and sending it via text. If you use the last option, only text a video to someone with the same operating system as you do (iOS or Android) or the video will likely be blurry.

Grab a coffee

If you need a reason to get together with a friend, telling them about Hummingbirds is perfect! In person, you can show them the platform and help them sign up on the spot. Then you’ll have a friend to participate in campaigns with and they’ll get to learn about and try fun things in your city! And you’ll get to drink a delicious latte or iced tea while you’re at it: win-win-win!
