Oftentimes, when someone mentions the state of Iowa, not far behind is the word ‘corn.’ It’s true that an abundance of corn is produced in the state, and Iowa Corn works to ensure it contributes to the economy in multiple ways. One way they do that is through their education surrounding E15, also known as Unleaded 88. They had local hummingbirds try it and share their experience with their followers & friends.

all about Iowa cORN

Iowa Corn is comprised of the Iowa Corn Promotion Board (ICPB) and Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA). Their mission is to “unlock the potential of corn in a sustainable manner to meet the global need for food and energy.”

The connection between gas and corn, which might be unclear, is the production of ethanol. Iowa is in the top 30% of ethanol producers in the United States and uses up to 1.3 billion corn bushels annually. A few benefits of using Unleaded 88/E15 include cleaner burning than pure gasoline, less expensive to purchase, and supporting the livestock industry as one of the top consumers of Iowa Corn.

HUMMINGBIRDS FILL THEIR TANKS WITH uNLEADED 88

Hummingbirds across Iowa filled up with Unleaded 88 and posted about their experience driving on the innovative fuel. Not only did these posts help to educate viewers about Unleaded 88, it also encouraged them to do the same! While many people have heard of Unleaded 88, seeing their friends use it is the push that many need to try it for themselves.
