about AE Dairy
Anderson Erickson Dairy was founded in 1930 by Iver Erickson. An investment from his childhood friend, William Andy Anderson, allowed them to take $15,000 and purchase all of the necessary equipment to start a farm. At the time, there were 150 other dairy farms in Des Moines, so the competition was stiff. Lucky for consumers across Iowa, Kansas City, and other communities, the pair persevered and their time-tested recipes are still being used today!
AE Dairy is also a supporter of renewable energy for Iowa and beyond! They partner with MidAmerican Energy and the Renewable Advantage Program, and they are transitioning to a carbon neutral brown board carton for their milk.
