Stuart Chamber of Commerce drives holiday sales with hummingbirds
about Stuart
The first settlers arrived in Stuart, then called Summit Grove, in 1850. A strong railroad presence transformed the new settlement into a vibrant city with banks, hotels, and hardware stores. In the 1960’s, the addition of Interstate 80 allowed for an easy 40 minute commute from Stuart into the heart of Des Moines, making it an attractive city to live in. Recently, there have been many additions including a new City Hall, library, housing developments, fun shops, and more!

results
Stuart Chamber focused on garnering brand recognition and new awareness for small businesses in Stuart by tapping in to the Des Moines market of hummingbirds. Since the Stuart Chamber wanted to showcase the variety of businesses in town, they valued the diverse perspectives hummingbirds brought to their postings. Some shared about the local boutiques, others the restaurants, and a few even created a theme for their post, like “Family Road Trip to Stuart” or “Sister’s Day Out in Stuart”.
"Our experience with the Hummingbirds was amazing! They were very responsive and did a great job of showcasing our local businesses. Without a doubt the Stuart Chamber would recommend utilizing the hummingbirds to other chambers and community organizations."
- Nate Westre, Stuart Chamber of Commerce
